• Some paints contain flammable or combustible materials.
o Open all windows and doors for ventilation.
o Do not use an electric fan as it could cause sparks.
o Do not smoke while painting.
• Keep paint cans closed when not using.
• Clean up paint spills immediately.
• Keep all paint products out of the reach of children.
• Wash paint off your skin immediately with plenty of soap and water.
• If you get paint in your eyes, flush with cold water for 15 minutes, and get medical treatment.
• Always test an area to be taped before beginning the masking job. Wallpaper is particularly susceptible to tearing.
• Remove old tape residue with acetone on a clean rag. Always test in an inconspicuous area first as acetone may damage some surfaces.
• Start with walls that are clean and have all holes filled.
