The job of organizing your home and keeping it that way can seem like a daunting task to most of us. However, by simply breaking it down and using easy to follow tips, anyone can bring order to their chaos. Here are a few tricks and suggestions to help control the clutter.

• Sort and toss what you don't need or want and I keep the things you need tucked away, out of site but easily reachable. It doesn’t matter where you live. There are storage spaces in even the smallest dwellings. Try under the bed or at the back or sides of a closet for starters.

• Donate or sell those useful items that you no longer need.

• It can be helpful to make a list of the storage problems in each room with possible solutions. Evaluate what’s in closets, cabinets, and furniture and prioritize available space. Allocate the most convenient locations to the items that are used the most often.

• Evaluate storage options and create additional space with shelves, home organization systems, etc.
