» Air Purifier Filter Purchasing Tips
You can spend as little as $40 or $50 dollars for a small, personal air purifying filter. However, a unit that cost will likely not be effective for an entire room. Most air purifying filters that would work for an entire room will cost upwards of $200. The sheer cost makes it improbable for most people to purchase multiple units for numerous rooms in a home or office. Thus, it is extremely important that you match your needs to the best possible air purifying filter. If possible, it is not a bad idea to buy “more than you need” in terms of how much air space can be purified in a certain timeframe. Other important considerations are:
· Number and type of air purifying technologies in the unit-generally, the more, the better!
· Coverage area-will the unit be able to purify the air in the amount of space you need? Is it moveable?
· Price, replacement and maintenance costs-there will likely be upkeep required for your unit…how much cost is hidden there?
· Electricity use-will you notice a pronounced increase in your electric bill because of your air purifying filter?
· Noise-will you be able to tolerate the noise that is generated by your air purifying filter?
