Previously, one might visit the hospital cafeteria and have a small selection of food choices. Today, the consumer has demanded a lot greater choice in more restaurant-styled settings. Of course, the medical staff has influence on patients who are recovering from surgery or need to follow careful diets to insure good health and healing. But the idea is that the “meal of the day” trend is dying out in some hospitals and meal choice is “in.” Healthcare facilities management companies are eager to meet this demand.
