» Day Three: Island Adventure Safari
Take an Island Adventure Safari through the northeastern side of Oahua. Enjoy secluded beaches with turquoise water, lush tropical rainforests, vast pineapple fields, an extinct volcano, and majestic mountains. Make sure the tour includes the spectacular Waimea Valley. The Waimea Valley is a journey into Hawaii’s past as it was once home to a vast Hawaiian civilization. Here you will find an authentically restored Hawaiian village, restored archeological ruins, luxuriant tropical flowers and wildlife.
Don’t miss the secluded Waimea Falls, nestled amidst the gorgeous scenery. Waimea Falls is found in the magnificent 1,800-acre Waimea Falls Park, and its water has a reddish hue due to the volcanic soil which streams down from the mountains by the Waimea River. You may even be able to observe professional cliff-divers as they climb the rock wall alongside the falls and dive from 60 feet into the deep water below.
Later in the evening enjoy dinner at the Pagoda Floating Restaurant. The atmosphere is unique as the building appears as a pagoda suspended over a miniature lake in a picturesque setting of cascading waterfalls. The cuisine is reminiscent of a combination of Hawaiian, Asian, and Western favorites.
