Not all pop-rock songs are going to let you off the hook that easily. There are plenty of songs out there that are complex. However, by learning only three chords you could be well on your way to playing songs that you hear on the radio. Many times learning a song is as simple as taking the three chords you know and using them in a different progression or strum pattern.
