Start you trip to Frankfurt with a healthy dose of art and culture. This morning, visit the Städel art museum. This museum is located on the banks of the river Main. It has an extensive collection of European masterpieces from as early as the 14th century and dating to present day. It also features The Graphic Collection which includes 100,000 sketches and prints form the late Middle Ages.

In the afternoon, you can get to know Frankfurt in the quickest time possible with a guided tour of the city. A two and a half hour, motorized tour of the city – available in nine languages – is available daily. The tour includes visits of Römer (Frankfurt’s old town center) and the Goethe House (birthplaces of the famous author and poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe). The summer tour also includes a visit of the Main Tower, which offers a spectacular, bird’s eye view of Frankfurt. Tours cost 25 Euros for adults, 20 Euros for students, senior citizens and the handicapped, and 10 Euros for children ages to 10.

Visit Adolf Wagner for a German dinner. In this Sachsenhausen restaurant, typical regional specialties such as Handkäs or Schneegestöber (specially prepared Camembert) are served along with Äppler, the local cider. The Wagner has a long tradition, and the decor is appropriately rustic.
