Unlike America, you’ll find many more “hole-in-the-wall” type restaurants in Europe, and those are the best places to eat. While you’re in Frankfurt, try some authentic German cuisine and some of the other prime options as well. Also, don’t forget to try some authentic European ice cream or, Eiscreme. You won’t regret it. Here are a few restaurants to get you started, but its definitely recommended that you explore and find your own dining.

Visit Adolf Wagner for a German dinner. In this Sachsenhausen restaurant, typical regional specialties such as Handkäs or Schneegestöber (specially prepared Camembert) are served along with Äppler, the local cider. The Wagner has a long tradition, and the decor is appropriately rustic.

Tigerpalast offers international variety theatre along with a restaurant. The restaurant serves light, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine and has been awarded a Michelin star.

For French cuisine, try Frankfurter Hof in the Restaurant Français at Hotel Steigenberger. The cuisine is very exclusive and is served in a traditional, elegant setting.
