Using PA systems as Intercom systems

One of the most popular and needed places for using PA systems is in enclosed areas that need to tell messages to all the employees or students at the same time. This is called an Intercom system. If you are inside a business, half the time if you look up directly you will see a speaker. Corporations will use an intercom system to tell employees about upcoming meetings, as well as inform employees about any possible emergencies that may be coming up. Schools also use intercom systems for morning announcements for the national anthem and daily students announcements. Schools have also wanted to get a intercom system into school buildings because of emergencies such as hostage situations and any others that may place the students' lives into danger.

Another place that you may see an intercom at is your local Burger King. The intercom system has changed the fast food industry forever. You can now drive through and hear the voice of someone working inside telling you that you need to pull up to the next window. You will also see this intercom system used in locked door apartment complexes. Through this you can actually select whom you want to talk to up in their apartment. Combine this with the possibility of being able to "ring" someone in - let them in from your apartment and you have a great combination for the modern man. Intercom systems can also been seen at chic shops in Beverly Hills and in the large homes of people that want to contact someone from room to room without raising their voice to a yell.
