What’s a vacation with out the great food? Paris is known all over the world for its culinary masterpieces. There are also several American restaurants for those travelers who are a little homesick for their favorite meal.
Breakfast
· Starbucks Coffee: With multiple locations in Paris a cup of Starbucks
coffee is never far away. Muffins, croissants, and fresh pastries are all offered at Starbucks as well as their ever popular
coffee drinks.
Lunch
· Rainforest Café: Located in Disneyland Paris the Rainforest is a fun place to eat. It gives the feel of being inside a rainforest complete with wild animals and erupting volcanoes. The menu at Rainforest offers appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and a full service bar.
· Au Sauvignon: This wine bar serves a menu that has a wide selection of open faced sandwiches served on Poilâne loaf as well as a well stocked wine list. The restaurant provides out door seating perfect for people watching. Most meals at Au Sauvignon cost between $13 and $18.
· Chili’s Bar & Grill: Just like they do in America the Chili’s locations in Paris serve appetizers, salads, soups, burgers, steaks, pasta, sandwiches, specialty entrees, desserts, as well as a complete cocktail menu.
Dinner
· Chez Jenny: This restaurants interior is just as fun to eat as its food. Chez Jenny’s menu offers traditional French cuisine with added flair. A few of the specialties at Chez Jenny include egg and bacon quiche, Salmon paupiette, grilled chicken, roasted leg of lamb, grilled sirloin, and steak tartare. There is also a dessert menu full of great selections of ice creams, sorbets, sundaes, pastries, and cheeses. Chez Jenny also has an extensive wine list. Meals at Chez Jenny range from $18 and $30 plus the cost of wine which ranges from $18 to $90 a bottle and $11 and $36 for a half bottle.
· La Bastide Odéon: The La Bastide Odéon serves cuisine from southern France and is located just minutes from the Luxembourg Gardens. The menu includes salads, pastas, steak, and seafood. There is also an extensive wine list to choose from. Most meals at La Bastide Odéon are between $30 and $55 under not including wine.
· Le Bouclard: Located in the northern part of Paris Le Bouclard offers traditional French cuisine with a taste of Normandy. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. The lunch menu offers features such as grilled salmon and sirloin steak. The dinner menu is larger and offers specialties like pan fried mushrooms, several veal dishes, salads, steaks, and chicken dishes. There is also a complete wine list available at both lunch and dinner that primarily features regional wines. The typical lunch at Le Bouclard will cost around $20 while the average dinner will be $55.
