The most-watched sports in France are football (American soccer), basketball, rugby, cycling and tennis. France is famous for hosting the annual Tour De France, a long distance bicycle race held over three weeks each summer, dominated in recent years by American Lance Armstrong. France is also known for the annual French Open tennis tournament, held in Paris, usually in May or June.
