Who should own

Anyone, no matter what their age involved with riding any motocross sport vehicle should wear a helmet. Because of the need for the helmet to have an exact fit, the rider should own their own, individual helmet. Borrowing a helmet from another rider could result in unexpected injury due to improper fit. Although it is not illegal to ride a motocross vehicle without a helmet, the majority of head injuries suffered from motocross accidents could have been avoided if proper use of a motocross helmet was applied.

Helmets are not an uncomfortable article to wear. Manufactures have designed helmets to maximize safety while still maintaining an acceptable level of comfort. Helmets are light weight and have built in air vents to help reduce heat during the hot summer months.
