What to Look for

The most important features to consider when purchasing a pair of motocross goggles besides size and tint or the lack thereof is anti-fog features and impact resistance. There are a couple of methods of combating the fogging of goggles. One of the most common is to coat the goggles with an anti-fogging liquid. Another is to place small battery operated fans on the top of the goggles and yet another method is to design the goggles with multiple layers of plastic lenses with air in-between them. By far the easiest method is to purchase goggles that come pretreated with a material to help resist fogging. If you purchase a pair and have fogging problems you can purchase a fan unit to attach to the top of your goggles to eliminate fogging.

Impact resistance is very important and standard on essentially all motocross goggles. UV protection is another benefit that some goggles may provide and should be considered as an additional benefit.
