What Types of Tablet PCs to Look For

If you are shopping around for a Tablet PC, it would be a good idea to know what to look for and what types or styles are on the market. If you don’t know this you may not know what you are looking for and may get confused when shopping around. There are a number of manufacturers who produce Tablet PCs. These models can come in different sizes, processing speeds, design, and more. There are three different models you need to be aware of:

 

·        Convertible type: This Tablet PC has an attached keyboard and looks just like a laptop PC. However, you can rotate the screen 180 degrees and lay it over the keyboard to view it better.

·        Slate type: This Tablet PC is designed to be slim and very light to carry. You don’t have a keyboard to worry about. Just carry around a special type pen. Some of these models come with a detachable keyboard. There are even connections on it to support a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

·        Rugged type: This Tablet PC is a tough one. It is a mobile computer with the rough and tough exterior as found in industrial areas. It has a tough shock-mounted hard drive. These are great for people who work at construction sites or while on duty in the military.
