The first component of a gaming computer is the graphics card. The graphics card provides you with the ability to watch the visuals in your game. Most graphics cards now boast that they are able to duplicate movie quality visuals during the game. Some of the most important parts of the graphics care are the 3-Dimensionals capabilities, the ability to move through frames quickly, and the foresight to work on upcoming games.

The second component of a gaming computer is the sound card. The sound card works hand in hand with the graphics card. Your sound card should be able to show you the smallest sound without over-amplification as well as high intensity sounds without distortion. A sound card is an important part of your gaming system.

The third component of your gaming computer is the desktop memory. In desktop memory you will hear the numbers 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1.0 gig thrown around. Basically the higher the number the faster the processor in your computer is running. Even though the sound card and graphics card are extremely important, if your processor is not able to handle the information coming through it, then that information will never get to the sound and graphics card to let them work.

The fourth and final component of your gaming computer is the internal hard drive memory. This is actually your storage memory. Many games continue to run off of CD’s, so the memory storage of most computers should be okay. However if you are working a game completely off of your hard drive, then you will need the extra space to keep that data.
