When you are looking to buy a custom-built computer, you need to know a few things to make your search more productive. It is not just a matter of looking in the paper or the Internet and saying this is what I want. You have to know what you are looking for. Here are some ideas to get you started:

·        Finding the deals: No matter what computer you want you have to look for the best deal. Not all computer manufacturers will build the computer to your taste. In other words, not all computer suppliers carry the same parts. So you’ll have to shop around and find the dealer who will give you what you want for the money you are willing to spend.
·        Delays: How long will it take once the order is placed to when you get the PC delivered to your door? Does the dealer you contact have the parts in stock or are they backordered? In some situations you may have to wait from four to six weeks for delivery.
·        Defective parts: When you order a custom-built computer, you are relying on the company to use the most reliable and quality efficient parts they have. However, sometimes a part can be bad from the factory and won’t show up as bad until after it has been used for a certain amount of time. You have to make sure the company is using the best parts on the market.
·        Compatibility issues: There is another issue you face when you you’re your computer custom-built. That is compatibility. What if you request a part that is not compatible with another part or the operating system won’t work with it. That would be a major concern. You have to be sure the company you choose provides testing before they release the machine into your care.
