Condo Vacationing

You don’t have to be rich or famous to stay in a condo on your trip to Denver (though being one or both certainly helps if you wish to own one!). You also don’t have to purchase a time-share to stay here. There are many “second home” type condos and/or ski condos that are only used by their owners a fraction of the year, and are often times rented out to vacationers the remainder of the time. Sometimes you have to know someone who knows someone to get in on this, but many times these condos are being leased through agencies that specialize in just this very thing. They take care of renting and cleaning up condos on behalf of the owners, which allows you to stay there just as if you were staying in a hotel. You book the condo through an office and you only bring what you would need if you were staying in a hotel, the sheets and towels are usually provided (though be sure to double check on this).

An advantage to renting a condo for your trip is they usually have either full or partial kitchens, which allows you to bring your own food and not have to go out for every meal while on your trip. These are set up like apartment living and can have one, two, or more bedrooms, which is ideal for families with multiple children, or friends traveling together.

The pricing system can work to your advantage also, if you plan on an extended stay. You can work the arrangements out to stay one night, a full week, or a month or more.

The best way to start your hunt is to do an internet search for “Denver Vacation Rentals,” “Denver Condo Rentals,” or “Denver Vacation Condos.” Adding the words owner or manager or owner/manager might also pull up listings specific to what you are looking for.

When you do a search for “Denver Ski Resorts” you will notice that none of the listings show any in Denver proper. This is because you don’t go to Denver to ski; you go to Denver to drive somewhere else to ski. But there are many people who do decide to lodge in Denver and drive to the slopes. This allows them to stay in a centralized location and experience several different skiing areas during their ski trip. Staying in a vacation condo can be the perfect solution for you if skiing is your plan for your time in Colorado.
