» What kinds of organizations are there on campus to get involved in?
One of the best ways to get involved anywhere, but especially on a campus, is through groups that specialize in interests. Consider what you love: is it camping? Or dancing? Or politics, perhaps? Of course, the number of groups and their variety will depend on the school size and type; however, there are usually clubs and organizations that appeal to an assortment of interests. Sailing Club, the jazz ensemble, and karate class are just a few examples.
Campus groups are not limited to those of a social nature, though those do certainly exist. They span the tide of clubs from academic and cultural concerns to hobbies such as sports. Some of the general categories of campus organizations include:
• Volunteer service groups
• Leadership organizations
• Groups with recreational focuses
• Religious organizations
• Musical groups
• Fraternities and sororities
• Honors groups
