While there are a plethora of groups focusing on a variety of interests on campuses across the country, it is possible that you will find that your school does not have a club specializing in your favorite pastime – perhaps because it is quite unique, or maybe just because your school is small or relatively young. If this is the case, chances are very good that you can just start your own organization.

Check and see what the qualifications are at your school for a new club. Usually, all that is required for a new group is about four people who are interested and a constitution. Plus, there might be some “Campus Group” training. So if you find that there is a need on your campus that is not being addressed, or that you’d really just like to get together more often with people that share your hobby, look into creating your own organization on campus in which you – and others – can be involved.
