The country of Chile has two vivacious and distinct cultures: the cosmopolitan culture of the wealthy urban population, and the prevalent culture of the peasants, which is primarily Spanish but has some indications of Araucanian heritage. The culture of the peasants is significantly mirrored in their dance and music.
