· Dreamworld Amusement Park: Located on the Gold Coast in Queensland Dreamworld is the perfect way to spend the day. Some of the favorites at Dreamworld are thrill rides like Giant Drop and Tower of Terror and attractions like the water park, Wiggles World and Nick Central where kids can meet their favorite characters from the Wiggles and Nickelodeon. The park has several restaurants, cafes, and snack stands through out the park for the convenience of visitors. Admission prices are $40 for an adult one day pass, $30 for a children’s (ages 3-13) one day pass, $59 for an adult 2 day blast pass, and $41 for a children’s 2 day blast pass. Children 3 and under are admitted free.
· Australia Zoo: Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter is the man behind this great zoo. The zoo is home to hundreds of animals and has animal encounters and live shows daily. The zoo has two main restaurants and several snack vendors through out the park. Admission prices are $33 for adults, $22 for children ages 3-13, and $105 for families with 2 adults and 3 children. Children under 3 are free.
· Broadway on the Mall: This shopping center located in Brisbane has over 70 shops and restaurants.
· Sea World: Located in Gold Coast this is a great place to spend the day. Get up close and personal looks at dolphins, sharks, polar bears, penguins, and other sea animals. There are also rides located in the park as well. Sea World offers several dining options with in the park for the convenience of their visitors. Ticket prices are $48 for a one day adult pass, $31 for a one day children’s pass (ages 4-14), $70 for an adult 2 day pass, and $46 for a children’s 2 day pass.
· Surfing: Australia is a surfer’s paradise. Along with the big waves the beautiful beaches tie the whole experience together for a memorable surfing experience.
· Snorkeling and Scuba Diving: Diving Cairns is a company that specializes in guided
scuba diving and
snorkeling excursions. Carins is located in northern Queensland near the Great Barrier Reef. The company offers day trips for both diving and

· Beaches: There are a number of public beaches located in Queensland which also happen to be the most beautiful beaches in Australia.
· Movie World: Movie World is a WB theme park that is full of fun and action and is located in Gold Coast about 45 minutes from Brisbane. Some of the rides at the park are Superman Escape, Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, Road Runner Rollercoaster, and Lethal Weapon the Ride. Attractions at Movie World include the Police Academy Stunt Show and the Looney Tunes Musical Review. There are several restaurants and snack stands located through out the park. Tickets are $47 for an adult one day pass, $30 for a children’s (ages 4-13) one day pass, $117 for an adult 2 day pass, and $76 for a children’s 2 day pass. Children 4 and under are admitted free.
· Deep Sea Fishing: There are several charter services located in Queensland. One charter company is Gold Coast Fishing Charters. Prices are $145 for 9 hours, $115 for children under 12 years of age for 9 hours, $1500 full day private charter up to 12 people, $1200 half day private charter up to 12 people. · Wineries: The Summit Estate winery located in Queensland is a great place to spend the day. Tours of the winery are free and include samples of wines produced at the winery. There is a café located on the estate that serves breakfast and lunch. For more information visit their website at

· Cairns Highlands: This area was previously known as the Atherton Highlands and will always be known as the “Tablelands” to locals. The area provides visitors a number of nature activities such as hiking, bushwalking, waterskiing, windsurfing, bird watching, swimming, and canoeing. There are many different regions in the Tablelands all of which that offer beautiful landscapes and everything from rainforests, national parks, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, crystal caves, and volcanic mountains. The Tablelands are about a two hour drive from the town of Cairns in Queensland. Restaurants and shopping are also in abundance in the Tablelands. · Golfing: There are several 18 whole golf courses in Queensland. One that offers great golfing along with reasonable prices is Kabi Golf Course located at Boreen Point in Queensland. Greens fees are as follows Adults $20 for 18 holes, $15 for 9 holes, and $25 for 27 holes; Juniors $12 for 18 holes, $9 for 15 holes, and $15 for 9 holes; golf cart $25 for 18 holes, and $15 for 9 holes; $9 for a large bucket of driving range balls (70 balls), and $7 for a medium bucket (40 balls).
