Queensland is a state in Australia and is located in the north eastern part of the country. The state has the third highest population in Australia and is the second largest in terms of land area. Queensland experiences warm weather almost the entire year and has even been nicknamed the Sunshine State due to part of its land is located in the tropics. The state borders the Coral Sea to the east and the Gulf of Carpentaria to the west. Queensland enjoys many natural places of beauty. The state has a wide range of regions. There are beaches, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and rainforests. Queensland is also home to the Great Barrier Reef which is the world’s largest coral reef.
