Hotels and motels are known for the variety of services that they provide. Many offer restaurants, coffee bars, cocktail lounges and even some retail shops as well as many types of guest services. These are some of the types of hotels and motels found in Arkansas.

Commercial: Commercial hotels are properties that accommodate mostly business travelers and tourists that are only staying in the state briefly. Many national chains such as Holiday Inn, Best Western, Motel 6 and others are located in most of the larger towns and cities in Arkansas. Most of these hotels offer a variety of guest services such as fitness centers, swimming pools, laundry and valet services, banquet rooms and exhibit halls. Prices range from around $60 to $120 but do not include corporate, government, military, AAA, AARP, or senior discounts that may apply. Smaller towns feature locally owned hotels and motels and prices are around $40 per night.

Extended-stay: Extended stay hotels combine features from resorts and residential hotels. Most often guests will stay for a minimum of five consecutive nights. Accommodations include kitchens equipped with dining utensils, cooking utensils, refrigerator, microwave and stovetop, iron and full-size ironing board, on site laundry, office space with computer and telephone, entertainment systems, and fitness centers. Locations are limited to largely populated areas including Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas. Prices are between $50 and $60 a night.
