Arkansas has a wide selection of fine to casual dining restaurants that vary from region to region. Most of the state has a variety of chain restaurants, famous barbeque joints and cafés in addition to many Mom and Pop style eateries. Depending on your tastes and price range, there is a variety for you to choose from. With so much fine cooking there is something to please everyone.
• Ozarks: In Northwest Arkansas, visit Bordino’s in Fayetteville. This restaurant is the city’s favorite, winning best restaurant overall, most romantic, and other area awards for consecutive years. Prices range from $10 to $20. In Bentonville, try out Brioso Brazil, a semi-fine dining American Churrascaria, or Brazilian-style steakhouse. Lunch is a buffet style version of Brazilian fare with a soup, salad and sandwich. Dinner includes a buffet salad and tableside service of meats, soups, vegetables and desserts. Prices are between $18 and $35.
• River Valley: In Wiederkehr Village, visit the award winning Weinkeller restaurant which features Swiss and other European cuisine. This restaurant is known for its Swiss Onion soup. The menu also includes Swiss Cheese Fondue, Italian pasta dishes, Matterhorn Schnitzel, chicken, lobster, fish, steaks, and numerous desserts. The restaurant is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is housed in the original 1880 wine cellar at Wiederkehr Wine Cellars & Vineyards.
• Ouachita: In historic Hot Springs, stop by the legendary McClard’s Barbecue restaurant. McClard’s features pit smoked meats, famous sauce, coleslaw, beans and hot tamales made with old family recipes. This restaurant has been featured in Southern Living and Gourmet Magazines and on "The Best of..." television show on Food Network, as well as being a favorite of former President Clinton. Prices are from $3 to $10.
• Central: In the dining capital of the state, Little Rock, enjoy Arkansas’ only award winning “World Champion” barbeque at the Whole Hog Café. Dress is casual and prices range from $1 to $10 for lunch and dinner. Also in the central area of the state is Vino’s Pizza Pub Brewery. It produces 6 Bridges Cream Ale, Firehouse Pale Ale and Aphrodite Red ale and other micro brewed beers. The brewery provides a varied menu including calzones and pizzas as well as live entertainment. Prices range from $3 to $16.
• Delta: Visit Rhoda’s Famous Hot Tamales for a different menu every day in Lake Village. This restaurant features hot lunches, fried chicken, catfish and tamales.
• Timberlands: In Arkadelphia, have afternoon tea at the Honeycomb Restaurant and bakery. This eatery features plate lunches, sandwiches, homemade baked goods, and award winning desserts.
