Home » Argentina » Buenos Aires - Week Long Itinerary » Day One• Puerto Madero is one area that was once known for being a dock storage area but over the last decade it has transformed into a modern hotspot and when you decide to visit the area, you will see how great it is. You can enjoy a walk around the marina or browse the many shops that can be found in the area but if you would prefer then one not stop off at the Uruguay Corvette. It was once a ship built and used by the English around 1877 and it was a major part of the Argentine Navy during this time but since it is a large museum open to the public and can be found at the docks of Puerto Madero. It is open from 10am to 9pm and at $1 for entry it gives you the chance to see one of the ships that made up part of the great navy that sailed the country’s shores.
One restaurant that is highly recommended to visit at least once and that is the Clo Clo ristorante which can be found just meters away from the Jorge Newbery Airport. The restaurant is of a great contemporary designed with high ceiling and large window panels, you will get a unique experience and excellent service is guaranteed. The Clo Clos ristorante is opened from noon to 2am through Monday to Sunday.
There is a variety of different meals available on the menu, the range of entrees include stuffed mushrooms, grilled trout and pasta meals and for the main courses, there is an even larger range of pizzas and pastas and if you have the room then you can choose from a unique range of classic desserts which have to be tried and if after a great meal then you can retire with a wonderful cocktail at the piano bar. Prices range from 30 to 70 peso’s per person which for an entire three course meal is excellent value for money.
