Throughout Buenos Aires, it is almost certain that you will come across a variety of languages and as Spanish is the widely spoken language in the area, you need to remember that even though Spanish may seem the same, in Buenos Aires, there are different variants.

The dialect spoken in the area is heavily influenced by the Spanish spoken in Andalusia and Murcia but you can also come across a partial mixture of Italian dialect and Spanish which is known as Cocoliche and whilst you won’t come across this particular variant often, it is still spoken.

There are some residents throughout the area that will speak simple Italian and with other languages such as English and French which are spoken throughout the area, it is important to be certain which variant may be needed if you come across a Spanish citizen, it is almost the same but some phrases/words may have a different meaning.
