On day six, drive into Los Glaciares National Park to observe the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, a daunting ice river descending from the Patagonian Continental Ice Field. This massive glacier is more than 3 miles wide and over 20 stories high, and thought by many to be the most picturesque glacier in the world. Take a boat ride across Lago Argentino in order to pass in front of the enormous front wall of blue ice. Visitors can enjoy lunch on the glacier while walking along the beech forest. The sounds accompanying the lunch will include the crashing and cracking ice falling into the surrounding lake. In the evening, head back to Calafate where visitors will appreciate the culture of the Patagonian nightlife.
