The official religion of Argentina is Roman Catholicism (92%), however, the actual doctrine held by those in the country differs significantly from the official doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church. Argentines believe strongly in spiritualism and veneration of the dead. It is not uncommon for Argentines to venture on a pilgrimage to the resting places of relations and of the famous dead.
The other religions of Argentina are Protestants (2%), Jews (2%), and other (4%).
