Although independence was not easy in coming for the country of Argentina, today Argentina is a republic that recognizes democracy. From its beginning occupants to its independence on July 9, 1816, Argentina has a remarkable history. Today Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world.
The land itself is bursting with some of the world’s highest mountains, most spectacular waterfalls, and extremely spacious deserts. The geography of Argentina is made up of a plain, extending from the Atlantic Ocean in the east and south to the Chilean border and the soaring Andes peaks in the west. It is because of this extended geography that Argentina experiences a diverse climate within the country. This land of mystery and wonder is sure to leave an impression on the mind of its visitors and inhabitants.
