Argentina is home to a myriad of attractions. The many different regions of Argentina have much to offer. Below is a list of various attractions one can enjoy while visiting Argentina:

• Iguazu Falls: Puerto Iguazu is the gateway to the grandiose Iguazu Falls. The Iguazu Falls is one of the most spectacular places to visit on Earth. It is beyond a doubt a true natural wonder of the world with its two and a half miles of churning white noise, culminating in a breathtaking view of the falls. The Iguazu Falls are created by the River Parana, which, before reaching the edge, separates into numerous channels. The Iguazu Falls are just as vast as the Niagara Falls, but even more sensational. At their highest point, they possess a vertical drop of more than one and a half times the entire length of Niagara Falls. The best time of the year to visit these falls is during the months of August and November. Visitors can hike the landscape and take pictures of the immaculate scenery.
• Rio Negro: One of the most popular resorts in the southern Lake District is San Carlos de Bariloche. The resort is surrounded by such natural beauty as forested mountains, lakes, and glaciers, yet still possesses such modern tourist amenities as casinos and shopping areas.
• Museo de la Plata: Located in the province of Buenos Aires, this renowned Argentinean museum of natural science possesses over two million displays in the fields of botany, archaeology, geology, paleontology, zoology, biology, and ethnography.
• Formosa: If you desire to embark on some excursion to the northern Chaco, the capital of Formosa Province is a great beginning point for the trek. The city possesses several fascinating buildings such as the Casa de Gobierno, which has been confirmed as a national monument. One of the primary regional attractions is the enormous Rio Pilcomayo National Park, a section of marshland, swamps, and savannah on the Paraguayan border. This is a wonderful place to go bird watching.
• Cathedral of Salta: This religious site is found in the Province of Salta. The cathedral houses 16th-century statues of the Virgin Mary and the Cristo del Milagro.
• Train to the Clouds: This historical site is also found in the Province of Salta. Train to the Clouds is one of the three highest railroads in the world. It stretches nearly 14,000 feet above sea level.
• Patagonia: If visiting Argentina, it is essential to try to visit Patagonia. This expansive region of natural beauty is enveloped in parks and nature reserves. Patagonia is the southernmost region of South America, and along its coasts, visitors can observe large herds of sea lions, blue whales, seals, and thousands of penguins.
• Plaza San Martin: This energetic plaza, four centuries old, features exhibitions and fairs. The Plaza San Martin consists of a statue of its namesake, General San Martin, a 17th-century clubhouse, and a colonial-style cathedral.
• Museo Historico Provincial Marques de Sobre Monte: Located in the Province of Cordoba, this large colonial house was home to Cordoba’s first Spanish governor. The museum is bursting with furniture, saddles, military uniforms, rifles, and other 18th-century relics.
• Posadas: The capital of the Misiones Province is connected to Paraguay by a contemporary bridge. The province is notorious for its Jesuit missions from the past. The most remarkable Jesuit ruins are found at San Ignacio Mini, nearly 32 miles east of Posada. If you have time, visitors can stop at Posada’s Museo Regional to observe Jesuit carvings and art that are on exhibit.
• Juan Carlos Castagnino Municipal Museum of Art: Found in the modern city of Mar del Plata, this amazing building’s architecture was inspired by the Loire castles. The Juan Carlos Castagnino Municipal Museum of Art accommodates 450 works of Argentinean artists, including sculptures, paintings, photography, and carvings.
• Mar del Plata Aquarium: Also located within the city of Mar del Plata, this popular aquarium’s highlight consists of superb dolphin and sea lion shows. It also possesses a large variety of other marine attractions, such as flamingos, penguins, and several other types of fish.
