Argentina is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. There are so many different activities that can be enjoyed in this country. Below is a list of various activities Argentina has to offer:

• Fishing: The country of Argentina offers some of the best fishing in the world. Whether you enjoy sport fishing or fly fishing, Argentina has something that will meet your individual needs. The best time to fish in Argentina is during the warm summer months. Freshwater fishing is especially good along the Parana River. If you are looking for the perfect place to cast your line, it is in the Patagonia Region. Here you will discover all the salmon and trout you could ever want. There are also exotic fish in this region as well as mullets and wolf fish. The nice thing about Argentina is that if you don’t want to fish in a lake, river or stream, you can head to the ocean. Fishing is a great activity to participate in while visiting the country and you are certain watch your stress wash away down stream.
• Trekking: The landscape of Argentina provides the perfect stomping grounds for trekking and walking through the lakes, deserts, and alpine parks. The best trekking areas are the Sierras de Cordoba, Patagonia, Andean Lake District, and the Sierra de la Ventana. Patagonia is home to many of the country’s most famous national parks and offers spectacular lakes and glaciers.
• Skiing: The country of Argentina is a wonderful place to go skiing. The eastern slopes of the Andes offer excellent skiing, and the area’s ski resorts and runs in this region continue to expand. The ski season in Argentina is typically from May to September. The oldest and most established ski resort is Bariloche, while the runs at San Bernado, Puente del Inca, and San Antonio, which border Argentina and Chile, also provide great skiing. It is wise to book your accommodations in advance.
• Mountaineering: For those who enjoy mountaineering, Fitzroy Range is a great place to do an excursion while in Argentina. El Chalten is a great beginning point for this mountaineering trip. For more experienced climbers, the Sierra de la Ventana provides an inspiring climb.
• Watersports: The rivers descending from the Andean ranges are drawing more and more whitewater rafting buffs. Some of the most popular rivers are Rio Manso and Rio Limay (close to Bariloche) and Rio Mendoza and Rio Diamante (in the Cuyo region). Other watersports to be enjoyed include water-skiing along the San Antonio River, yachting and boating along the River Plate, swimming in the lakes and small resorts situated beside the Atlantic coast, as well as scuba diving in Patagonia.
