The success of the booth rests on the people who staff the booth, but the trade show graphics are what catch the eye of participants as they stroll by. It takes mere seconds, for a potential customer to walk past your booth because a huge visual presentation down the aisle caught their eye. Making sure your booth is the one with the eye-catching visual is the key to getting customers to take that first step into your booth. Once there, it is the job of the staff to make the most of that contact.

Just as television works by flitting from one spectacular image to the next, trade shows are competing heavily to gain the attention of event attendees. A 6-foot table with a nice cloth embroidered with the company logo is no longer enough to compete with giant plasma screens and computer generated graphics. Even the most recognized names know they have to draw the attention of the crowd before they can get the crowd to step into their booth.

To take advantage of media savvy consumers and business representatives, your trade show graphics must be the best that you can realistically afford. There are so many alternatives that it may be hard to choose, but comparing every possible alternative will help make the right decision clear. Used booths, rental booths, or custom designed booths and graphics will make your space unique and noticeable, but your graphics are what will catch the eye of potential customers.

Graphics must be visually stimulating, large enough to be seen from a distance, and bold enough to be recognizable and compelling. What does your company do? Make sure the trade show graphics answer that in one or two visual seconds. Think of your trade show graphics as a billboard opportunity. While cars are zipping by at 60 mph, billboards accomplish this task with large, eye-catching visuals, but not many words. Save the words for the top-notch sales staff that will staff the booth for you.
