What to Look for When Seeking CPE

Home » Accounting » CPE » What to Look for When Seeking CPE

No matter what courses you take or what direction you go toward fulfilling your CPE, you have to be sure you are completing what is required of the AICPA and other accounting associations. The main thing to look for is whether or not the courses are based and backed up by AICPA and state guidelines for formal self-study. If you don’t have the courses you look at fit these requirements, pass them by or else they won’t be credited and you’ll be wasting your time.

The State Boards of Accountancy is the ruling authority and have the final say as to what course is appropriate or not. So make sure the course you are thinking about taking is approved by this board.
