If you are an accountant training to be a
CPA, or are training to be an accountant and looking ahead to find out what you need to know to be a
CPA, you need to know one thing? In order to be a
CPA you need at least 150 semester hours of college work. This means besides the four year degree, you need at least 30 more hours of training. This is where Continuing Professional Education (CPE) comes in. CPE can come in many forms. Here are some ways you can get the required CPE necessary to become a
CPA:
· Take courses at a local college: Just enroll at your nearest community college and take the necessary courses that you are required to take. After you complete 30 hours you will have satisfied the requirements to be on the way toward becoming a
CPA.
· Take courses at night: If you do not have time to go to college during the day, you can always sign up for night courses. It will take a little longer to get 30 credit hours this way, but at least it will be on your schedule. Plus it is cheaper than going to a conventional college.
· Take courses online: Here is another option for you. If you don’t like the idea of going to a night school or college during the day, nor do you want to commute to one because of your heavy schedule, there is always the Internet. This is easier and more flexible. And online education is now being accepted as credits toward the CPE that many associations demand.
