If you are looking for an accounting degree program there are many to look for. You can always start with a lower two year degree and work your way up to a four year degree. It depends on your goals and career choices. To give you an idea as to what type of accounting degree programs you can take, here are some choices:
 
·        AAS in Business Administration/Accounting – With this two year program you can learn enough to earn the credentials to achieve an entry level bookkeeper or accountant position. You will go through an extensive study of accounting including learning how to use problem-solving skills and accounting principles.
·        Bachelor of Science in Accounting – This degree program goes further from the Associates degree program above. It goes into analyzing economic activity of an organization and communicating the results to management. The curriculum includes managerial accounting, budgeting, accounting systems, learning internal controls, financial analysis, financial reporting, and more.  
·        Master of Business Administration (MBA/Accounting – If your goal is to be a CPA, this degree program will help you get there. You will not learn enough to take the CPA exam, but you will learn more about budget planning and control, auditing, and the function of accounting as regards everyday business decisions.
 
There are many more degree programs you can take from various colleges around the world. The above are the most common ones for account majors. Today it isn’t as hard to go to college because many colleges are online. They still charge tuition, but at least they are more flexible to your schedule.
